Moses Sullivan started his journey with a ball at a young
age. In the 6th grade
he started playing in the Detroit Pal League where he started to get the game
of basketball. During the 6th grade he was pulled off the team by
his mother because she valued his purpose of learning and his grades weren’t
where they needed to be so he had to try back next year. In middle school
Sullivan tried out his 7th grade year, made it and he didn’t get a
lot of playtime because his basketball skills were over looked. That didn’t
stop Sullivan from learning the game of basketball. His 8th grade
year was when the feel of the game was by his side. He went from sitting on the bench, to him being the player to
get the ball. His learning experience got even stronger and the game of fun
became a game of dreams. With his high hopes of moving forward in basketball,
Sullivan went into high school with thoughts of playing but his grades weren’t
where they needed to be.
Moses Sullivan started Pal back up and a star was born. From transferring schools a lot his
focus wasn’t taken away. During his 10th grade year while playing
junior varsity his skills were noticed and had got bumped up to varsity. During
his junior and senior year while transferring schools, and moving a lot he
couldn’t really focus on the game that he loved. Family was set first and his goals
that he had in mind were pushed to second. Residing with the Mumford Mustangs he ended
up finishing his year off at Lee M. Thurston where he graduated in 2009. Highschool wasn’t what he expected to be so he made a point to work even harder.
Sullivan went off to Great Lakes Christian College were
his talents was put to the test. He really got the feel of the college game but sadly ended up injuring himself. Because of his strengths and abilities he played
through the whole season with an injured knee. Continuing his college education
being a business Major he still hasn’t dropped the ball. Sullivan is in the gym
everyday working on a piece of his game. With his head to the sky he continues
to reach for his dreams of going pro some day.
